A couple weeks ago, we were at the International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago. I snapped some photos of things that I really loved, so I thought I’d share them with you here.
We spent a long time at Emile Henry booth. We were taken with the simple design and beautiful colors. Bright and vibrant, these jugs are just begging to be filled with fun summer drinks.
Mom was particularly smitten with the simple, earthy colors in these dishes.
And we both loved this rectangular pizza stone. Regulars here on ThreeManyCooks know that we don’t make round pizzas, we make individual rectangular ones so this stone is perfect for us. And of superior quality for just $50.
Of course we had to stop by and see our friends at KitchenAid who had some fantastic new appliances and these fun new colors: crystal blue, tangerine, green apple, and majestic yellow.
For as long as I can remember, Mom has had a Le Creuset Dutch oven on the stove at all times. And now, Sharon and I do too. We never put them away. We were excited to see this vibrant new color, Marseille. How beautiful is that?
Along with the rest of the world, we are in love with this new Cafe Collection.
We spent a long time with this Rosle grill. This is truly the Rolls Royce of charcoal grills, folks. It’s built with the grill-lover in mind. The right mix of “features” and functional simplicity. We particularly loved its quality and durability (look at those wheels!), and the vent on the top, not on the side.
Mom and Dad drink a lot of loose tea, so this automatic tea maker from Dalla Piazza was a winner in her book. Put the tea in the basket, add hot water, set the timer, and when the time is up the basket slowly pulls out of the water so that it doesn’t over-steep.
Finally, this isn’t food-related but it was one of my favorite items at the show. These is a “scentilizer” from Serene Home. At first I thought it was a fancy humidifier, but these vaporize essential oils and fill your home with the most beautiful scent. You can pick any oil from lavender and eucalyptus to clary sage and chamomile. Higher end models even play relaxing sounds and emit a soft, glowing light. I want one. Bad.

Do you have a store or where can the items be found? Where are you guys located? I reside outside of Udall, Kansas am retired from running a little country store in a nursing home, and loving my leisure time, if I can find it, I am busier now than when I was working full time! lol

With all the fun things we saw at the housewares show I was wishing we did own a store, Jan.
And great job on this post, Maggy. You highlighted all of my favorite things. What a fun trip. I think the housewares show will become a yearly pilgrimage for us, eh?

I LOVE the tea pot — never over-steep the tea. What a cool idea! 🙂
