- 1 cup Mixed Olive Salad
- 1 package (8.8 ounces) Tandoori Naan
- 5 thin slices each: pepperoni, capicola, and salami (about 1½ ounces of each)
- 4 thin slices each: mozzarella and provolone (about 3 ounces each)
- ¼ large red onion, thinly sliced
- Make Mixed Olive Salad.
- Adjust oven rack to lower-middle position and heat oven to 350 degrees. Lay naan directly on wrack and heat until warm and starting to crisp, 5 to 6 minutes.
- Spread each naan with ½ cup of the Mixed Olive Salad. Layer in the following order: pepperoni, mozzarella, capicola, red onion, provolone, salami. Cap to make a large sandwich. Trim edges to form an approximate 8- by 6-inch rectangle. Time permitting, wrap sandwich tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate. Cut into bite-size squares and serve.

I had the opportunity to sample these sandwiches . I have always been a big fan of the NOLA style with the large round of great bread sliced in half as the foundation.. But this Naan idea is just great and for serving groups very smart
I also like the ability to rock and roll with different ital meats like mortadella , finochiona , prosciutto etc . olive salad makes anything taste so good.!!
ciao

These were a big hit at our house over the holidays. Very tasty, not run of the mill, and very easy to throw together.

Made these for a dinner party and my guests devoured these little NOLA delights! These are super simple to make and we are lucky enough to have fresh naan available at the international market. I do recommend a finely chopped olive salad to keep the sandwiches compact. To lessen the mess, I added a thin layer of the salad to each half of the bread, and a layer of cheese against the olive salad. I will be making these again soon. Cheers!
