This week our lives will likely crescendo in complete excess. Whether it’s food, drink, money, we’re still in splurge mode. Thankfully the first week of the New Year is just a few days away. This week you’ll read what threemanycooks hope to do differently in 2010. We’d like to give you a chance to do the same by completing the following sentence: “In 2010, I hope to…”

You’ve heard from Sharon. Maggy and I will share our hopes for 2010. Now let’s hear from you!
keep a tidier, calmer, more cheerful house to foster a calmer, more cheerful family.
And lose weight.
In 2010, I hope to continue my weight loss plan – 30 lbs to go! This cookbook would be the perfect motivator!
Cook more for friends and family
I hope to lose weight, I had lost 35lbs over the last couple of years. Then I don’t know what happened but I gained it back plus more. I could use something to get me motivated again. I am so depressed over the weight gain. 🙁
plant an amazing garden and learn how to can.
Make a choice each morning to see the world through positive eyes. I will make the effort to not get absorbed in the negativity that surrounds us. I hope to make heathier decisions where food and exercise are concerned. I know that if the scale shows an extra pound in the morning it will be because I enjoyed a wonderful meal with friends the night before.
In 2010 I hope to finish as many sewing, embroidery and quilting projects as I did in 2009.
Having a new cookbook to “test”, would be sinfully delightful !
It’s been a big year of changes. I hope to continue to focus on the positive and spend as much time as I can with my daughter and the rest of my family.
Keep in touch with my friends!
Finish my journey to lose 30 more lbs (have already lost 40), commit (finally) to an active lifestyle, and adjust to my husband being relocated 400 miles away 🙁
…get my paperwork/files organized (small goal) and lose the last 10 lbs of baby weight (my baby is 2!). Thanks for the opportunity to win – looks like a great book!

lose the rest of my baby weight!
In 2010, I hope to try something new with my cooking. My brother-in-law gave me a Japanese cookbook for Christmas, so I have a good place to start.
in 2010 finally complete the last 20lbs of my weight loss goal.
I really need to loose ~35 lbs. I’ve been exercising but need to lower my intake!
I resolve to roll with whatever 2010 has in store.
In 2010 I want to plan my weekly menus with an eye to cooking heathy delicious non repetitive meals my very picky family will all enjoy!
“In 2010, I hope to do my 3rd Ironman”. Doing so will mean I lose the 15 pounds I gained this year AND will mean my business is making enough money to support this endeavour.
This new year I hope to complete my goal of a total health makeover! 🙂
I want to cook more and eat out less.
In, 2010, I hope to start my own business. My daughter-in-law and I have been busy laying down some guidelines and it is an exciting time. This is the year for the dream to become reality.
I hope to meet the man I am going to marry.
I still need an inspiring goal, rather than just balancing the current load. Maybe Spanish or knitting related.
Well, though cliche, I need to get to the gym more often.
Make my home as clutter free as posiible AND lose 50 pounds!
In 2010, I need to lose weight & get healthy…and find new, healthier recipes!
In 2010 I hope to (1) organize my digital photos, along with the older printed photos, into family memories I can share and (2) create a fun family reunion for every age this summer…and manage regular life too.
Stop biting my nails and work up to running 10 miles (I’m at 5 right now). We’ll see…
My plan is to increase exercise, eat more locally grown, and less processed foods.
Exercise, and have a healthy mindset
Work up to running 20 miles a week. Stop nibbling my nails. Okay I confess- I bite my nails. Learn some French cooking techniques.
lose weight. Travel more. Try 3 new recipes a month. Write more. Become an early riser. Write more handwritten letters. Be better about date nights w/ my husband.
My goals…(this is actually the first I’ve thought of goals for the new year).
1-Have no guilty food related feelings.
2-Exercise the same way I brush my teeth (automatically, without thinking twice)
3-Creating friendships in our new town.
4-Laugh a whole lot more!
Get in shape, and learn how to can food.
In 2010, I hope to cook more for my daughter and me and ride my bike alot more. I would also like to find a girlfriend and travel.
In 2010, I hope to cook more healthy meals for me and my boyfriend…and learn to like running!
…I hope to let things go and let God’s plan work even if I don’t understand. And drink more water.
In 2010, I hope to spend more time with friends, lose the 10 pounds that I gained in 2009 and try more new recipes.
Happy New Year!

Continue to use the silly Wii fitness gizmo to lose the weight I gained when hubby & I stopped smoking.
be on top op house tidiness so we can enjoy having more friends over…(this also means controlling the paperwork which can take over the kitchen and interfere with our cooking!)
