This week our lives will likely crescendo in complete excess. Whether it’s food, drink, money, we’re still in splurge mode. Thankfully the first week of the New Year is just a few days away. This week you’ll read what threemanycooks hope to do differently in 2010. We’d like to give you a chance to do the same by completing the following sentence: “In 2010, I hope to…”
Complements of Carnation Evaporated Milk, five winners will receive a copy of my latest book, The Perfect Recipe for Losing Weight and Eating Great, a tote bag, apron, and complementary coupons for 10 cans of evaporated milk. For nearly 5 years now I’ve maintained my 45-pound weight loss, so for those whose New Year’s resolutions are weight related, I share what worked for me. For those whose resolutions are not weight related, you’ll still get a book full of delicious, reasonable recipes. The deadline is 12 midnight on Sunday, January 3, 2010. Winners will be posted no later than 6 pm on Monday, January 4th.
You’ve heard from Sharon. Maggy and I will share our hopes for 2010. Now let’s hear from you!
travel…..and not just to attend weddings!
(it seems like all you do in your late 20’s is attend weddings!!!)
Lose the weight I lost last year and then regained…
I’ve been growing herbs for a couple of years, but I’d really like to see if can coax out some tomatoes, peppers and a few other things! And I’d love to win a copy of the book!!
have a baby.
I’m hopeful that I can get some of the weight I’ve put back on off… and I also hope that my husband and I will be able to expand our family to 3 🙂
I plan to go to yoga 3 times a week! For real : )!
work less! And find more balance in my life!
In 2010, I hope to spend more time with my babies.
In 2010, I hope to bake/cook with more of the recipes that I’ve been accumulating over the past year or so.
maintain my current blood sugar numbers. I’ve lost 25 pounds during the year and because of it my diabetes is under the best control it’s ever been!
Get back into running shape after having two kids. Be able to race and feel fast!
eat more thoughtfully and exercise regularly (those 10 lbs gained this holiday season have GOT to come off!)
I don’t make resolutions. ButI love a good cookbook! I got How To Cook Without A Book for Christmas and I’m reading it like a book! I love it.
In 2010 I hope to lose 20 lb and play more guitar
Not a real resolution, but I’m hoping that this will be the year that my husband gets into medical school and we expand our family.
We are trying to stay healthy and a good cookbook would definitely be helpful!
In 2010 I hope to lose 25 lbs, begin and maintain an exercise program, and learn a system to keep my house clean. At 43, it’s way past time.
In 2010 I hope to learn how to cook HEALTHY food for myself. No more fast food! That will also hopefully help me lose the 40 lbs. I am trying to get rid of!
In 2010, I hope to become a good wife to my fiance and to get our life together off to a wonderful start. 🙂
In 2010 I hope to become healthier
In 2010, I hope to . . . put my laundy away within 24 hours of it being out of the dryer!
“In 2010, I hope to break the New Year’s Resolution habit and just focus on the good things that I accomplish.” 🙂
In 2010 I hope to lose a few pounds before our oldest sons wedding in May and then enjoy the fact that our four children are all happily married.
In 2010 I hope to be the best me that I can be. For me this means losing weight before a Hawaiian vacation and my sisters wedding, finish my grad degree, plan for my vocational future and be a great wife to my amazing husband. I’m looking forward to a new year!
In 2010, I hope to get back into cooking meals and working out regularly.
I hope to just spend time with the amazing family that I love and cherish. Oh, and really have fun planning my wedding 🙂
To become healthier
Get a better job, visit my family and make 2010 a better year 🙂
In addition to losing 30lbs I will learn to use my new digital camera and photoshop
Eat healtier and exercise regularly
I hope that I will have more patience with people. My nerves tend to get frayed rather easily.
Get in shape, and eat more vegetables with my meals.
In 2010, I hope to get healthy by exercising, losing weight, better managing stress, and nurture my relationships.
In 2010, I hope to allow my talents to grace my life and show thanks every day for all that I have.
I will be planting my first ever vegetable garden. Can’t wait!
…reverse the slow weight increase that has been threatening my 5-year long weight loss.
Lose 30 lbs and start (and stick with) a regular exercise plan.
But not necessarily in that order.
in 2010, i hope to continue to lose weight (down 100lbs.so far) but my main goal is to gain more confidence. To become confident in who i am.
…lose weight, exercise more, and sleep more.
lose some weight, and have a GREAT time!
In 2010, I hope to live a more simple life – a smaller house, perhaps, and more time for my family.
my resolution is to stop wasting time doing things I don’t want to do and use my new free time to live a simple, homemade diy kind of life.
hope to get a fellowship! (and maybe move halfway across the country, too….where ever it may be!)
staying healthy…all of us.
I hope to buy a house and move out of the Grand Canyon. Either one would make me very happy. If not either of those, I would be happy with a visit from my kids.
In 2010, I hope to be the mother of the bride.
…create. I have neglected my creative side – crafts, photography, etc. – for so long!
Read the books stacked on every flat surface in my house!!
to lose weight and be healthy and no more pills for blood pressure. To study Gods word more and to spend more time as a family.
I hope to complete a triathlon, figure out if I’m gonna tackle culinary school (and lose the weight I’ve put on testing my baking skills), travel more (Mexico doesn’t count!), smile a lot, and spend time with family. Oh, and get out of debt. 🙂
finish the book I’m inspired to write. Love my husband and kids like there’s no tomorrow. Make myself better than I think I can.
