It’s been awhile since you’ve heard from Maggy, Sharon, and me. Four years it’s been. 2015. Since then, what’s happened in your lives and in the lives of Three Many Cooks?
Like many of you, we’ve experienced joy and sadness at both ends of life’s spectrum, helping midwife new ones into our family and gently walking with aging ones as they reach the end here. We’ve lived through career shifts, job changes, moves, health challenges. We’ve celebrated holidays and life’s big events. Food is still our language.
Food is still Sharon’s language… big time. Since 2015 she has been the Director of Development for WhyHunger, a New York City-based non-profit whose mission is to end hunger and advance the human right to nutritious food in the U.S. and around the world. WhyHunger is successful because they fund grassroots movements and support community-based solutions. Sharon and her husband, Anthony love to travel, and they cook and entertain regularly. Their little French bulldog, Eloise, loves the kitchen too and is always underfoot in hopes that some scrap will land her way.
Food is still Maggy’s language too. With the birth of her second child, she has left her work as Director of Development and Communications at a NY-based non-profit. In addition to her busy life as mother of two, she has started a Facebook group called Planetarian Life, which offers cooking inspiration for those trying to reduce their meat and dairy consumption for the good of the planet. She’s gotten me on board as well. Our families still enjoy the occasional beef stew, pulled pork, and roast chicken, but we’re also loving this new plant-based world of ingredients and recipes.
A year ago, my husband, David, and I moved back to our home in Pennsylvania, and I’ve started a new venture called Copper House Events. If you check out the website you’ll see that I host a variety of experiences, retreats, and team-building.
On occasion you may hear from Maggy, Sharon, or me here on Three Many Cooks, but if you’re looking for more of my recipes and stories, head over to the Copper House blog.
We’d love to hear from you. Let us know what you’re up to.

What a lovely surprise! That is, to receive your email and update today. Has it really been that many years since you last posted a blog? When I think about it, yes it probably is–just yesterday I ran across a recipe that I saved from years ago. Glad that you posted and Holiday Greetings to you!

Oh how I’ve missed you. I’m glad for the update. We’ve recently begun the transition to more plant-based meals. It’s not easy, especially when traveling.

Was thinking of you today as I made the season’s first batch of krinkles with Margaret. You are missed my friend, and I can’t wait to see Copper House in person. It looks like such a special next chapter for you to share your wonderful gifts. Sending love to you and of course David too. You may be a few states away but we hold you very close in our hearts!

So glad you are back- I use you book about “losing weight” all the time – has helped me keep 20 pounds off – I also use your plant based veggie book. I would love a book for aging well/ healthy weight – men and women with recipes – such a missed demographic – I know it is easy to ask and hard to produce – welcome back 🤓 Greg

Hope to hear more from you. Our family thinks of you every time I make your baked apples recipe that was published years ago in the USA Weekend booklet. It is one of our favorites!
